The upper division tuition rate will apply to undergraduate students with a minimum
of 59.1 credits, regardless of how earned.

Includes upper division and graduate programs in the Smeal College of Business Administration
(excluding MBA), the Colleges of Engineering, Earth and Mineral Sciences, and the
Eberly College of Science. Also includes the intercollege programs of Acoustics,
Bioengineering, Materials, Operations Research, and Quality and Manufacturing Management.
2002-03 tuition includes $570 per academic year for laboratory and clinical surcharges
which will be folded into tuition effective Fall 2003 as approved by the Board of
Trustees in July 2002.

Includes upper division and graduate programs in the School of Information Sciences
and Technology and Computer Engineering and Computer Science programs in the College
of Engineering. 2002-03 tuition includes $1,500 per academic year for laboratory
and clinical surcharges. For 2003-04, laboratory and clinical surcharges will be
folded into tuition at the rate of $570 per academic year, similar to business,
science, and engineering programs.

Includes programs in the colleges of Agriculture Sciences, Arts and Architecture,
Communications, Education, Liberal Arts, and Health and Human Development (excluding
the upper division undergraduate program in nursing at University Park), and
Liberal Arts. Also includes all intercollege programs not reflected in footnote
d. Laboratory and clinical surcharges for Agricultural Engineering, Architecture,
and Landscape Architecture will be eliminated.
