(b) The upper division tuition rate will apply to undergraduate students with a minimum of 59.1 credits, regardless of how earned.
(c) Includes upper division programs in the Altoona department of Business. Also includes upper division and graduate programs in the Smeal College of Business Administration,   the colleges of Engineering, Earth & Mineral Sciences, and the Eberly College of Science. 2002-03 tuition includes $570 per academic year for laboratory and clinical surcharges which will be folded into tuition effective Fall 2003 as approved by the Board of Trustees in July 2002.
(d) Includes upper division and graduate programs in the School of Information Sciences and Technology. 2002-03 tuition includes $1,500 per academic year for laboratory and clinical  surcharges. For 2003-04, the laboratory and clinical surcharges will be folded into tuition at the rate of $570 per academic year, similar to business, science, and engineering programs.
(e) Includes programs in Altoona and Berks departments not reflected in footnotes c & d, including the Bachelor of Science in Business at Berks, and the Bachelor of Science in Science at Berks and Altoona.    Also includes programs in the colleges of Agricultural Sciences, Arts & Architecture, Communications, Education, Health and Human Development, and Liberal Arts.
