Student Tuition Calculators

Tuition and fees rates apply regardless of the instructional mode (that is, whether in-person or otherwise) and will not be refunded in the event the instructional mode changes during the Academic Year.

Penn State's tuition rates vary by campus, program, student level, and residency. Use this student tuition calculator to determine your tuition rate for Fall 2023 semester. You have the following two options:

The Tuition and College Cost Estimator provides an estimate of the tuition and fees and essential costs associated with attending Penn State as an undergraduate, graduate, or professional student.

The Net Price Calculator was developed as a tool to help families plan for future educational costs and is based on Penn State's current academic year costs. The "net price" is derived by subtracting a student's potential scholarships and grants from the estimated cost of education. The Penn State Net Price Calculator is intended for undergraduate, first year, full time, domestic students only and is not a substitute for completing the "Free Application for Federal Student Aid" (FAFSA) annually.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS who will be attending Penn State in F-1 (student visa) or J-1 (student category) status must meet the International Financial Guarantee Requirements regarding visa documents. Global Programs uses living expenses based on 12 months rather than 9 months.
